Years behind the fogged glass,
yearning the past,
eyes blurred and weary,
Psychological shutdown,
emotional numbness.
It's the self that observes the self,
the mind that silences itself,
the emotions that are motionless,
the psychological death of self,
Detach from your surroundings,
the world is lifeless, colourless,
A dream that doesn't know it's end.

A life dragged through the dirt,
Disappearing to cease the terror,
I dissolve in the corner of an empty room
confining my thoughts
to a shallow chamber in the back of my mind,
Nothing more than dust,
Dust that seeps into the brain.
A seething taste of resentment,
overpowering,
yet unable to flee the shackled chambers
of ones mind,
Muted in agony,
Numbness enshrouds my pale body.

Trapped in a constant anxiety,
catatonic response to ease the suffering...
as still as the passing of time,
lifeless trance in the passing of black shadows.
Stagnating…
overtaken by intrusive thoughts.
My corpse is rotting but i'm consumed by the void,
the calling of silence,
tranquility,
it always felt so far away.
staring in oblivion..
suffering.., suffering...
stagnating...

I dwell in the emptiness of fallen walls..
A landscape abandoned by many
and cared for by none.
Among these forgotten ashes rises my soul,
awoken by the pure absence,
the weight of emotional desolation.
Awakened, still in a dream.

distant from it all,
blood runs cold
the only warmth is that which seeps
from the wrists.
Cold air sweeps over,
like the hand of a corpse
tempting you,
with a promise of no more suffering,
A desolate departure.

Distant visions, empty sounds,
an unrecognisable world viewed through the eyes
of a loss of identity.
Everything became stagnantly catatonic,
Like a residual ghost that relives it's traumas.
Unbearable nightmare,
existing lifelessly.
I've been here before,
I see the silhouette of a place I know,
but I can't get through,
blinded by the cobwebs of my mind,
The silhouette of reality is distant,
Unretrievable.
